BingX Index Price is a bucket of spot prices from major exchanges, including Binance, Huobi, OKX, Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex, Bitstamp, GATE, MEXC, KUCOIN, and FTX. BingX will add new exchanges to or remove existing exchanges from its reference list depending on actual conditions. Additionally, the system will automatically adjust the weight of a certain data source based on its deviation from the median of reference prices and its update speed.
BingX will determine if a certain data source is reliable or abnormal before making a comprehensive calculation. If the data source is abnormal, it will not be included in the Index Price Calculation so as to eliminate factors such as malicious price manipulation or the instability of the exchange data source.
Protection measures for abnormal conditions, as follows:
- When the deviation between the latest price of any exchange and the median of all reference exchanges’ spot price is greater than the tolerance threshold (1%), it will be deemed as an abnormal price that may be maliciously manipulated. Such price will not be included in the Index Price Calculation and its weight goes down to 0.
- The exchange that fails to update its data in 30s will be identified as an abnormal data source, and will not be included in the Index Price Calculation.
Please Note:
- There is no guarantee that BingX Index Price equals the median of all reference exchanges' spot prices due to the protection measures for abnormal conditions above (Any exchange's market data could be discarded) and that reference exchanges push the market data at a different speed.
- The Index Price Calculation varies for each trading pair since the trading pairs listed in different reference exchanges are not consistent. Please refer to contract information for specifics.
Conclusion
BingX Index Price is within the range of reference exchanges' prices at any time. It can thus truly capture the trend of cryptos, avoid price manipulation on any platform and testify to the fairness and justice of BingX Index Price.
